Happy Friday, y’all. I hope you all have a fun weekend ahead!
I’ve been super heavy on the style lately and I hope you’ve enjoyed it, but I wanted to talk beauty in today’s post since there have been some products lately that have really been working wonders in this giraffe’s life.
Here are a few of my spring beauty favorites, and I’m sure they’ll become some of yours too!
1. Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme
Ok, so you know I’m a curly girl. It’s taken many trial and error experiences on products and usually I have many in the daily rotation. That was until I was introduced to Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme. The product promises no foam or no frizz for all hair types, and it lives up to the hype. It’s more like a lotion and it’s so highly concentrated, you don’t need a lot – you just need to make sure to comb it through evenly. No conditioner. And I can either shake my hair and go, or add a little bit of oil or putty to individual coils for more definition. Not convinced? Check out the Hairstory website and watch some of the personal Hairstories. My next Purely Perfect purchase will be the Foundation Creme.
The product is available in very select salons so some of you may only be able to find it online. In Sacramento, you can pick some up at Deeda Salon.
2. Harvey Prince Hello
You had me at “Hello.” No, really. I received a sample of this fragrance in my last Birchbox and I am so in love with it. It’s the perfect fragrance for spring. I’m a sucker for scents with a hint of citrus and a little musk, and Hello is not missing any of that. The fragrance comes in a variety of sizes and I’m ordering a larger one now, because I’ve only got a little bit left of this sample. Plus, it makes me feel spring sexy. Oooh! 🙂
3. Precleanse by Dermalogica
This product isn’t new, but it is new to me. It came into my life via the iFabbo Conference, and honestly, it sat under my sink for a little bit. Hey, I’ve got my facial cleansing routine down and I didn’t really want to add anything else to it. I wish I would’ve added this to it sooner. Precleanse works to loosen the dirt, oil and makeup (even waterproof mascara) on your face before, well, cleansing. In spring and summer, this product is crucial since we are putting off more oil and pores are easily clogged. You only need a few drops with each use so this product will last you a while. Think of it as an extra minute of luxury in your routine. I swear you won’t be disappointed. You can buy it online or at your local retailer. Keep an eye out for when local beauty supply has Dermalogica on sale. That’s the time to stock up!!
4. doTERRA Essential Oils
When I was doing the MindBodyBliss cleanse with Nikki Stern, the use of essential oils was part of it. I knew a little bit about essential oils before that, but forgot about how effective they can be. The two that have really been my favorites are Slim & Sassy and Balance blends. Slim & Sassy is a metabolic blend of citrus, peppermint, ginger, and cinnamon essential oils. I’ve been adding a few drops to my water at work when I would usually get my 3pm hangry fit. I like to rub the Balance oil on my feet, or even a little behind my ears after a long day. A quick whiff does wonders to ease the mind, too. The scent will take you away. And a relaxed woman, is a beautiful one!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend. And happy Mother’s Day to the moms out there!
